Young Guns

Kids these days think they know everything... well, in some cases that's not too far from the truth.

The British secret intelligence agency MI5 recruited some cyber-savvy teenagers into its ranks in the latest actions by a government to shore up defense of information networks.

According to a report, British Security Minister Evans has revealed that over 1,000 hits were made on computers in Whitehall (the Parliament district of London) during the summer.

The new teen crime fighters signed an agreement to keep their on-the-job activities confidential... even from their parents. So, Mom & Dad, if your teenager is spending late nights online, protecting national security *could* be a valid excuse, but it's still ok--and recommended--that you keep tabs on your teen's online activities.

See MySecureCyberspace recommendations on parental monitoring tools.
